Hi there, friend! Can't believe Christmas is NEXT WEEK, ya'll. As cliche as it sounds, this year really did just fly by. We've had the best time baking bread for you all year long, and we hope you'll come in and see us this week, too! We have gift cards available, if you're looking for a special stocking stuffer for the bread-lover in your life.
We will also be upping our pastry case numbers this week if you'd like to swing by for a little gift for a teacher or neighbor, but please do give us a call if you can! Preorders are available online but we always appreciate a heads up for large orders.
This Saturday, we welcome ARPaws and Wisconsin Birch & Maple Syrup of Helotes to our front porch. We also hope to have a visit from the Taft Raider Band Drumline! Stay tuned for details.
Our free little pantry is available 24/7, and open to anyone in need. Please, if even just a jar of peanut butter and some shin noodles is the difference between you being under financial strain or not, come by. No questions asked. We will be adding sliced sourdough sandwich loaves to the case (and any other extras we may have lying around) Wednesday through Saturday. If you'd like to donate goods, swing by anytime and add them to the cabinets! Sophie can take cash donations and will purchase supplies weekly to fill any gaps there may be.
Preorders are open now at our usual preorder site. Even if something isn't on the preorder menu, shoot us a message as soon as possible if you know you want 6 or more of it. The goal is to sell out daily, so we plan our production numbers with that intention and large, unexpected orders can sometimes throw us off for the rest of the day. We'd love to prep extra just for you!
Brioche Cinnamon Rolls are available daily as always. This week's specialty roll is a Gingerbread Eggnog Brioche Roll. We're making an eggnog brioche by swapping the usual whole milk for eggnog and filling it with a gingerbread-spiced cinnamon roll filling. After baking, we'll top it off with an eggnog mascarpone icing and a dusting of cinnamon. Should be phenomenal!
Sticky buns have been pretty popular so we'll continue to have Brioche Sticky Buns on Wednesdays. Kolaches are available daily, too, and they'll be warm and waiting for you all day and half price after 12:30pm. We'll also have some Sourdough Breakfast Buns and hopefully Bostock on Saturday! We make our bostock with unsold cinnamon rolls that we freeze throughout the week, so if we get surprised with large orders, we may not have any.
We've got the fan favorite Bacon Cheddar Scone coming this week, and we'll be making Peppermint Mocha Pop-Tarts. Muffins (available Thursday-Saturday) will be Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Muffin.
We'll be making Chocolate Chip Cookies of course but we're also making Sugar Cookies with Buttercream Frosting and Reindeer Snacks Cookies. These cookies are loaded with all of the reindeer's favorite snacks: m&ms, oreos, pretzels, and chocolate chips!
For lunch this week, we'll have the usual grab and go sandwiches available Thursday and Friday, and Pizza slices will be available Friday.
Just don't forget: lunch items (sandwiches, pizza) aren't ready until 10:30-11am. Gives us time to finish up the morning's bake & switch gears to lunch prep.
